The DYNAMIS® Implant System now has its own 3D animation. In under a minute, it shows the technology behind our procedural solution for stabilizing and fusing the sacroiliac (SI) joint. Press play below to see the DYNAMIS animation.
What the DYNAMIS Animation Shows
The animation walks through four key features of the system. In particular, each one has a specific role in the design:
- Negative bead porosity: a porous surface texture on the implant body.
- Titanium lattice structure: a 3D printed titanium lattice built into the implant, which we call DYNABridge.
- Compression thread design: threads built to draw the ilium and sacrum together across the joint.
- Ghost Guide radiolucent pin guide: a pin guide that does not block the view on X-ray imaging.
Together, these features are designed to support compression, stabilization, fixation and visibility during the procedure.
Why Implant Design Is Easier to Understand in Motion
Many of these details are small and sit inside the implant, so a photo cannot show them well. For that reason, an animation is a clearer way to explain how the system is built. As a result, surgeons, hospital teams and distributors can explore the design before they ever hold the implant.
According to its Instructions for Use (IFU-SI-01 Rev C), the DYNAMIS Implant System has these indications:
The DYNAMIS® Implant System is indicated for sacroiliac joint fusion for: Sacroiliac joint dysfunction including sacroiliac joint disruption and degenerative sacroiliitis. Augmenting immobilization and stabilization of the sacroiliac joint in skeletally mature patients undergoing sacropelvic fixation as part of a lumbar or thoracolumbar fusion. The DYNAMIS® Implant System is also indicated for fracture fixation of the pelvis, including acute, non-acute and nontraumatic fractures.

Who Created the Animation
Ghost Medical, a medical animation studio, created the DYNAMIS animation for Promethean Restorative. In addition, the studio produces 3D animations, graphics and training materials for medical device companies. You can see more of its work at Ghost Medical.
Finally, if you would like to see the DYNAMIS Implant System in person, please contact our team. You can also find the animation and product documents on our Resources page.
