Promethean Restorative at UCSF Annual meeting

In July 2026, Sean Dugan, Chief Commercial Officer at Promethean Restorative, represented our team at the UCSF Pediatric and Adult Spine Surgery Course in Honolulu, Hawaii. The course ran from July 15 to 18 at the Moana Surfrider in Waikiki.

About the UCSF Spine Surgery Course

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) hosts this annual course for surgeons who treat both children and adults. Over three and a half days, the program covers new trends in pediatric and adult spine surgery. You can find course details on the UCSF course website.

For Promethean Restorative, the meeting was also a chance to introduce our technology to more surgeons in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Takeaways From Honolulu

Sean came away energized by both the people and the conversations. The presentations were thoughtful, challenging and educational. Above all, he noticed how openly surgeons and industry leaders shared ideas, debated techniques and pushed one another to improve patient care.

He also enjoyed spending time with Dr. Lionel Metz, an orthopaedic spine surgeon at UCSF, and meeting many new friends along the way. And yes, he even found time to surf.

Whether in the operating room or out on the water, growth comes from staying curious, embracing challenges, and learning from people who make you better.

Why Meetings Like the UCSF Spine Surgery Course Matter

Focused meetings give our team time for real conversations with surgeons. In addition, they help us share the DYNAMIS Implant System with surgeons who perform SI joint fusion and sacropelvic fixation. At Promethean Restorative, design matters, and those conversations shape how we keep improving.

According to its Instructions for Use (IFU-SI-01 Rev C), the DYNAMIS Implant System has these indications:

The DYNAMIS® Implant System is indicated for sacroiliac joint fusion for: Sacroiliac joint dysfunction including sacroiliac joint disruption and degenerative sacroiliitis. Augmenting immobilization and stabilization of the sacroiliac joint in skeletally mature patients undergoing sacropelvic fixation as part of a lumbar or thoracolumbar fusion. The DYNAMIS® Implant System is also indicated for fracture fixation of the pelvis, including acute, non-acute and nontraumatic fractures.
